Religious Observance

Religious Observance

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs upholds the principle that a climate of respect for cultural and ideological diversity extends to the diversity of religious practices observed by members of our campus community. Religious practice is for many individuals a key element of personal and/or cultural identity, intellectual development and psychological well–being. Consistent with our commitment to creating an inclusive community that is welcoming to all individuals and groups of various experiences and backgrounds, the office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion requests that employees make every reasonable effort to support and accommodate all members of our campus community who wish to observe their religious holidays without jeopardizing the fulfillment of their academic or professional obligations.
