Career Center DEI Networking Event

The T. Rowe Price Career Center hosts an annual networking and career night that focuses on providing career development skills and networking opportunities for students, especially those from vulnerable and historically marginalized populations.

Disability Open Mic

October, 2023

Each year, for Disability Awareness Month, a poetry workshop and open mic to celebrate, honor, and elevate the experiences of people with visible and invisible disabilities is hosted in collaboration with Poetry 719- a Black-ran community poetry organization in Colorado Springs. This event is free and open to all UCCS students, staff, and faculty. 

 

ROAR Daze Multicultural Week

Annual International Cook Off

April, 2024

The Office of International Affairs hosts an annual International Cook Off where students can showcase their culinary ability and highlight their cultural cuisine. 

FAM! Graduation Celebration

May, 2024

Celebrate our first-generation and multicultural (F.A.M.) graduates with a fun night of recognition, food, photos, and even a little dancing! This celebration will focus on honoring the impact of students working towards access, inclusion, community, and paving pathways in and through higher education for historically marginalized and underrepresented communities. Students will receive first-generation cords, international cords, lavender stoles, and the MOSAIC stole during this ceremony.

Summer ibuddy Program

The Office of International Affairs in partnership with the iBuddy program hosts a series of summer programming to engage International Students in all that Colorado has to offer. 

Practicing Happiness

The Wellness Center hosts Happiness Groups for students throughout the year. Their Happiness Groups are practical and empowering programs based current research on positive psychology, coping skills, and happiness. The concepts covered in this group are based on years of groundbreaking scientific research about what does and does not make people truly (and sustainably) happy.
